UAE Barista Championship
Raise the Barista Profession in the UAE… and the Middle East!
Catch the action as the country’s best baristas vie for the “Best of the Best” title of the 2nd National UAE Barista Championship!
Preliminary rounds for the 2nd National UAE Barista Championship are set on October 12th and 13th at Jumeirah The Meydan Hotel in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai. The top six will proceed to the highly anticipated final round on October 14, a major highlight of the 2010 Middle East Coffee and Tea Convention.
Each competitor must prepare and serve twelve espresso beverages: four espresso, four cappuccinos, and four signature drinks of their own creation. Competitors have only fifteen minutes to prepare all twelve drinks. Various elements including station cleanliness, taste, beverage presentation, technical skills and total impression by a distinguished panel of judges are the factors that will determine this year’s winner of the UAE Barista Championship in Bogota, Columbia.
Accredited by the World Barista Championship, the world’s biggest and premiere coffee competition, the UAE Barista Championship is the first event of its kind in the region. The winner of the competition will have the honor of representing the UAE at the 2011 World Barista Championship Finals.
